The best description that can be given to the NSX is this: It is a true exotic car for the REAL world. A shape toe to toe with other exotics, yet easy to get into. Track performance that rivals its counterparts, yet can be driven in the everyday commute. Performance car numbers, but has good gas mileage. Race Car like engine, but as reliable as a Honda Civic. The NSX became the world’s first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminium body and powered by an all-aluminium mid-ship mounted 3.0L Dual Overhead Cam, 24 valve, V6 engine, which featured Honda’s VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system that sings all the way to its 8,000rpm redline producing 270hp. Starting in 1994 the SportShift 4-speed automatic transmission, also known as F-Matic, which allows the option of conventional automatic shifting or manually shifting with a fingertip shift lever on the steering column.
